Architraves

Architraves too come in different materials.

You need to ask yourself whether you are going for quality of finish, or simply a quick and effective solution and possibly whether you are buying for a construction company on a large scale development and simple need to bulk buy your construction materials and get them delivered on time?

Each of those questions poses another, with various answers. Some companies will simply quote you the lowers prices and tell you that it will get delivered tomorrow. Not so (usually). We will ALWAYS be honest with you about when we can get the goods delivered to you, and what the quality will be. Otherwise whats the point? You need your skirting boards, architraves and door frames delivered to site on the day that we tell you (unless the courier breaks down) but at least then you will know.

If you get a cowboy tell you yes 2 days is no problem for custom profiles architraves and skirting boards at a rate of 2000 metres, then run for the hills and give us a call.

Your architraves may be mdf architraves, oak architraves, maple, walnut, ash, beech, sapele or if you’re feeling exotic we can even mould your architraves from koto or any other wood available as this what we do, and it is ALL we do.

Architraves are simply there to cover up any imperfections between your wallpaper, plastering, walls, and your door frames. Now, your door frames also need to be a good quality, made to measure (within reason) and have the same level of attention to detail as the rest of the mouldings.

If you’ve had a conversation with a local yard, DIY shed or obvious copycat website that didn’t ask of you the details for the size of door, dimensions, thickness, fire rating, level of finish required, rebates required, size of door head etc. then you’ll know you’re dealing with an amateur wannabee expert, and again run for the hills and give us a call. We’ll ask you everything up front so your stuff will be perfect.
